Two suspects have reportedly been arrested and charged in last month’s armed robbery of District 5 Supervisor Dr. Roger Weiner at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.

17-year-old Carlos Hunter and 16-year-old Rinardo Hill were both arrested this past weekend by the Clarksdale Police Department at the Willow Park Apartments.

I feel that by these teens being treated as adults is wrong!!! The Clarksdale PD is proud of this arrest and feel no type of remorse for these young men.. One of the teenagers is my cousin and like many other black youths in his community, he have no father figure.. Clarksdale is a place that dont offer no type of job opportunities to the young black youths and their only resources to make money is to turn to illlegal activites. My Aunt have not recieve any information about her son being in jail or what she gots to do to help him. They just got him in jail and waiting to trail him so he can go to prison!!! Well I guess these two young tenagers is two less the justice system got to deal with!!!Anybody who can help me recieve any information about cousin dealing with his trail please email me at

In my opinion, any 18-23 year old without employment or not in school or technical training should be forced into the Armed Services. This would clean up this world and at the same time create some type of structure so desperately needed by these kids and particularly the black youths who have grown up with zero structure, zero father figure, and zero hope in this area.

This is indeed a sad incident, but for the most part the Clarksdale PD is not doing exactly what they are suppose to do as officers ither. I am a witness I used to live in the city and am from NC originally and have witnessed first hand some of there MESS. I said all that to say you have to lead by example. I am no longer in the area THANK GOD. Mississippi needs to get it together and quick.

This is most certainly some relief for the citizens in arresting these two teenagers. I don't understand how these teens were able to get guns. While robbers need to be taken off the streets before someone gets murdered, and rather than to thave these teens sit in jail, at taxpayers expense, there should be meaningful employment provided as part of their sentencing, to repay Dr. Weiner and other victims that they have robbed. They need to be taught skills, otherwise nothing will be gained from their time spent in jail and/or prison. Jail time, while the corrective action of the justice system, however, programs that offer work to offenders should become a requirement when it can be determined that the offenders have no other criminal history, except for dire economic times or unusual circumstances that caused the offender to commit the crime.
