St. George’s Episcopal Church will host the grand opening of the Tennessee Williams Rectory Museum at the Mississippi Delta Tennessee Williams Festival. The opening will be on Friday, Oct. 12 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the museum, 106 Sharkey Ave. in Clarksdale.
The Lee Academy softball team built a five-run lead in the fourth inning and then held off Indianola Academy's charge for a road 5-3 victory on Monday to open district play with a win.

On Saturday, July 7, over 50 years of service was celebrated with the naming of the Sam Wiggins Memorial Fellowship Hall.
