Clarksdale really has a lot of good things going on downtown and that was evident in the first festival of the year this past weekend.

I’ve never been a movie buff or video buff in the current lingo, but we are a visual, video culture. It was great to see downtown Clarksdale full of tourist again Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Coahoma County Board of Supervisors elected new leadership this week in a confusing and clumsy way.

The first board meeting of the New Year traditionally has the county board select a president and vice president and then rehire department heads and continue contracts with vendors and contractors for the new year.

The city purchased two new knuckleboom trucks that began picking up rubbish around town just before the Christmas holidays.
