Photographer Troy Catchings happened to be in the right place at the right time to capture local farmer Andrew Carr, left, shaking hands with Robert F. Kennedy during Kennedy’s visit to Clarksdale in April 1967. Catchings, who was 25 at the time, said Kennedy’s speech in Clarksdale, while short, was powerful and direct.
