Ingram named to Dean’s ListBy SPECIAL TO THE PRESS REGISTER,
James Ingram has been named a Dean’s Scholar at Blinn College in Brenham, Texas.
To earn Deans’ Scholar recognition, students must attain a 3.25 GPA, complete at least 12 hours (excluding developmental courses) and pass all their courses.
Ingram is the son of Floyd and Sara Ingram of Clarksdale and recently transferred to Texas A&M and is majoring in range management.
“It is an honor to recognize these student scholars for their exceptional work ethic and commitment to personal growth and achievement,” said Dr. Mary Hensley, Chancellor of Blinn College. “Possessing these qualities will be advantageous as they continue their education at four-year universities and embark on exciting career opportunities.”
Blinn’s academic transfer rate of 36.9 percent ranks second in Texas and far exceeds the statewide average of 20.9 percent.
