The Ooo So Pretty Flower Shop on Issaquena Avenue was again vandalized on Friday. Owner Shirley Fair looks over some of the turned-over containers. Fair said this was not the first time, and despite reporting the incidents to the Clarksdale Police Department, the vandalism continues.

FRIARS POINT — Mayor James Washington discussed a partnership between the town of Friars Point and Coahoma Community College that would help individuals get their GEDs.
“We’ve already signed an agreement with the college,” Washington said during Tuesday’s city council meeting.
James Washington, of Clarksdale, was fishing along the banks of the Mississippi River on Saturday afternoon. Washington was fishing for catfish in the popular spot near Gary Gammel Memorial Park in Friars Point. ‘You used to be able to catch them all day, every day.
