Less than an hour after he’d attended a community meeting on crime Monday night, a 44-year-old Clarksdale man was shot multiple times during a robbery at his home.

Darry Jenkins sustained several gunshot wounds in the robbery at his residence along the 400 block of Garfield Street.

Haywood Stephney Jr., 69, formerly of Clarksdale, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, at the Montefiore Medical Center in Yonkers, N.Y., after an extended illness.

Born July 28, 1949, in Rolling Fork, he was the son of Haywood Stephney, Sr. and Cornelia A. Walker Stephney.

Zavian D. Griffin, 25, of Clarksdale, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, in Clarksdale.

Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 23, 2018, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Delta Burial at 429 Yazoo Ave. in Clarksdale.

Patrick Bryant

Patrick Bryant, 40, of Clarksdale, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at the Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale as a result of a gunshot wound.

Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 23, 2018, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Woolf Funeral Home at 761 McKinley St. in Clarksdale.
