The Clarksdale Police Department has reported two auto thefts, a drive-by shooting and the theft of welding machine from job site.
Feb. 17-19
Auto Burglary
• 500 Blk of Pecan Street, speakers and amplifier taken valued at $1,000.
Drive- By Shooting
• Vehicle was shot into several times while sitting at the stop sign on Sunflower and the MLK intersection. No one was injured.
Fraud
• Female subject advised that her sister purchased a vehicle in her name without her permission.
Feb. 16
Stolen Vehicle
• 300 Blk of School Street, stolen Nissan Altima with Tennessee Plates
• 800 Blk of Vincent Street, stolen Nissan Rouge.
Police are asking residents to not leave their keys in their cars and to lock their doors
Feb. 15
Commercial Burglary
• 500 blk of Killbrew Street, taken was a commercial welding machine valued at $10,000 and a torch valued at $1,000.
Feb. 14
Aggravated Assault
• 300 blk of Madison a male subject received a cut to his hand after a confrontation with a female subject.
Commercial Burglary
• 1800 blk Sunflower, nothing taken but snacks.
Stolen Firearm
• 500 blk of School Street, a firearm was reported stolen.
Aggravated Assault
• 700 blk of Spruce Street, a subject was riding through the area and heard shots. His vehicle was hit by gunfire and he realized he had been shot in the foot. Police said he drove himself to the hospital.
