Two 2014 Clarksdale High School graduates are facing one another in the NFL this weekend.
Elgton Jenkins, a Pro Bowl left guard for the Green Bay Packers, and Juantavius “JT” Gray, a special teams standout for the New Orleans Saints, will be playing one another at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Fla., at 3:25 p.m. Sunday.
The game was originally scheduled to be in New Orleans, but Hurricane Ida caused it to be moved.
The Packers won 37-30 at New Orleans in 2020 when the two Wildcats faced one another. Gray and Jenkins were also roommates and teammates at Mississippi State.
The Packers lost at home to the eventual Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship. The Saints lost at home to Tampa in the NFC Divisional Playoffs.
