When you accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life and put your trust in Him, you will have a change in your life style. You will want to be more like Him.
People will see the change in you. Whether you realize it or not you will have a more contagious attitude. You look at the world differently even though after a while you will wander back into the evils the world projects.
There are going to be days when you are pushed into a corner concerning worldly needs and desires. You are going to take your eyes off of Jesus and look at the greatness the world projects even though it is only temporary. All of us realize that death is imminent and no one gets a pass from it. The only person that defeated death is Jesus Christ when He was raised from the grave three days after He died a terrible and agonizing death on a cruel cross.
As a new Christian you are going to project more love toward people, you are going to be a more lovable person, your understanding of life on this earth is only temporary and that your permanent home will be with Jesus in Heaven. The world is going to challenge you on this and offer you ample opportunities to walk against your Christian beliefs. It is going to offer you sins of the eyes and the flesh and you will be tempted to give in and on many occasions you will.
Once you realize what you have done you will cry out to the Lord to help you. Living the Chris- tian life does not mean a life of ease. It does not mean that you will never experience problems. At times you will think God has abandoned you when actually it is a time when you have taken your eyes off of Him and started focusing on the world around you.
Always remember what we are told in Hebrews 13:5, “Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
When you face difficult times, you can gain confidence and hope by knowing where you will spend eternity because of the saving grace of Jesus. Even though you face opposition from the devil each and every day, living the Christian life is worth it. You can have a day-to-day fellowship with Jesus and the opposition of the world will be nothing compared to eternal life that only Jesus can give.
