Gene Arthur Farris Hopkins, 73, of Clarksdale, Miss., left us peacefully Saturday, November 18, 2023.
She was a friend to most, and more than a friend to many.
GA graduated Clarksdale High School in 1968 and remained friends for life with many of her classmates. She attended and graduated College at the University of Miami. She later returned to Clarksdale where she would follow in her late parent's footsteps and become a pillar of the community.
She is survived by a daughter, Gina Cunningham (Mike) of Lakeland, Tenn.; two sons, Farris Hopkins (Amanda) of Marina Del Rey, Calif., and Evan Hopkins of Clarksdale; and three grandchildren, Rhianna Bronson of Maryland, Sawyer Antici of Clarksdale and Addison Hopkins of Grenada, Miss.
Visitation will be held at Meredith Nowell Funeral Home Wednesday November 22, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and services will be held at 1 p.m. in the chapel.
