CLARKSDALE - Jeanette McCarty Smith, 83, retired after 35 years of service as a Funeral Director at Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home, died Monday, July 17, 2023, at home.
Visitation is Wednesday, July 19, 2023, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksdale.
Graveside services are 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Jonesboro Memorial Park in 3910 Harrisburg Road in Jonesboro, Ark.
Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale is handling the arrangements.
Survivors include: Special friend Frank Dong of Clarksdale; and Son-in-Law Stephen T. "Jerry" Small of Houston, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents Woodrow Raymond McCarty and Juanita Friend McCarty; husband Leland L. Smith; and daughter Susan Smith Small.
