The CCC women's basketball team is 12-5 (6-3 MACCC) this season. Coahoma won seven games by double figures, and is 6-1 in home games this season.
In addition to victories on the court, the Lady Tigers are also having success in the classroom.
The CCC women's basketball team had 10 players record a GPA above 3.15 during the fall semester of 2021. Five of those 10 student-athletes made the President's List with a 3.75-4.0 GPA.
The team's average GPA was 3.29.
Head coach Stephanie Murphy said that the team's success in the classroom, "will always be more important" than what they accomplish on the court.
The CCC women's basketball program focuses on working hard and striving for excellence both on and off the court.
"We take pride in academics," Murphy said. "… We want to make sure we just maintain a standard of excellence in everything that we do."
