Clarksdale Nursing Center resident Josephine Boone celebrated her 90th birthday on March 18. Boone is the mother of eight children. Boone, seated, is with her oldest child, Minnie. She is also the mother of Jesse, Linda, Clyde, Edward, Doris, Mary and the late James. She is the widow to William Boone. Boone was a housewife and made excellent peach cobbler for her family. She is originally from Mattson and has lived in Clarksdale for 20 to 30 years.
