The Clarksdale Police Department is investigating an aggravated assault in Northeast Clarksdale that occurred in broad daylight Thursday.
Police were called to the 1800 block of Gregory Cove at 12:06 p.m. Thursday afternoon on a report of shots fired at a person.
Police reports said when officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Lydia Fields, who said she came out of her home and saw Altrez
Logan firing shots at her brother, Demarcio Fields.
Fields said she did not think anyone was injured, but several shots fired were fired in the incident.
The case has been assigned to a Clarksdale Police Department investigator Peters and is an active investigation.
Clarksdale Assistant Chief Fernando Harris has asked anyone with information about these incidents to call the Clarksdale Police Department at 621-8156, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or simply dial 911. All calls remain anonymous and up to $1,000 cash is paid to those providing information that leads to solving a crime.

The Clarksdale Police Department responded to the following locations after calls of shots fired were reported to police.
• Sixth Street and Iowa Street - nothing found
• 600 block of Pecan Street - nothing found
• Maple and Herrin Street - nothing found
The Clarksdale Police Department is making a concerted effort to curb gun violence in the community and gladly responds to calls of shots fired.
Police do ask for a specific location as they seek to collect evidence such as spent shell casings, fired bullets and other information to build a case.
Calls to the police department are anonymous.
