The Nation's Weather for Friday, March 28, 2025
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Flooding rain and thunderstorms are in store for southern
and eastern Texas and Louisiana tomorrow, leading to slow
travel and reduced visibility. However, rain will be
beneficial due to an ongoing drought in the region.
Meanwhile, a winter storm developing over the Midwest is
expected to bring a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain to
northern portions of the region, causing slippery travel and
localized power outages. Farther south and into the Ohio
Valley, warmer conditions will keep precipitation as plain
rain. The Northeast can expect more clouds than sun, while
the Southeast will feature more sunshine. Elsewhere, cooler
conditions are forecast across the Rockies, with rain and
mountain snow in the Northwest. The Southwest will stay dry
with a mix of sun and clouds.
