Activity summary report for the past two weeks
Between March 12-25, the Clarksdale Police Department received 719 calls for service, Police Chief Sandra Williams reported during Monday's meeting of the Clarksdale mayor and board of commissioners. Of those calls, 200 incident reports were filed and 50 misdemeanor arrests were made. There were seven felony arrests made with five of those being adults and the other two juveniles. Police issued 202 citations and investigated 65 auto accidents.
Also during that time frame, the Clarksdale Fire Department responded to a house fire, car fire, transformer fire, five false alarms and food left on the stove, reported Clarksdale Fire Chief Rocky Nabors.
