The Southern Debutante Assembly will present its 2018 honorees at its annual Presentation and White and Gold Ball, which will be held Dec. 28 at the Greenwood Country Club in Greenwood.
The group of young ladies to be presented includes:
Kathryn Rae Butler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Weaver Butler Jr. of Jackson. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. William Ralph Barnett of Jackson and Mr. and Mrs. George Weaver Butler of Clarksdale. Miss Butler graduated from Jackson Academy in Jackson and attends Mississippi State University in Starkville, where she is a member of Chi Omega sorority. She will be presented by her father.
Mary Olga Cooke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Scott Cooke of Clarksdale. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Earl Alexander Moore of Grenada and the late Mr. Moore of Duck Hill and the late Dr. and Mrs. Gaines Lassabe Cooke of Grenada. A graduate of Lee Academy in Clarksdale, Miss Cooke attends the University of Mississippi in Oxford, where she is a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She will be presented by her father at the ball.
Lucille Kelley Corneille Heaton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Cliff Heaton of Clarksdale. She is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. John Shea Buchignani Jr. of Memphis, Tenn., and Mr. William Sutcliffe Heaton Jr. of Lyon and the late Mrs. Heaton. A graduate of Lee Academy in Clarksdale, Miss Heaton is continuing her education at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, where she is a member of Kappa Delta sorority. She will be presented by her father and Dr. Buchignani.
Ann-Clayton Sandidge O’Keefe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kinchen Hilliary O’Keefe Jr. of Clarksdale. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Henry Clarence Strider Jr. of Philipp and the late Mr. Strider and the late Mr. and Mrs. Kinchen Hilliary O’Keefe of Clarksdale. Miss O’Keefe is a graduate of Lee Academy in Clarksdale and is attending Phillips Community College in Helena, Ark. She will be presented by her father.
Anna Carson Tyner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Michael Tyner Jr. of Clarksdale. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. James Carson Brents of Clarksdale and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Michael Tyner of Dundee. She is a graduate of the Mississippi School of the Arts in Brookhaven and is attending the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, where she is a member of Delta Gamma sorority. Miss Tyner will be presented by her father.
Natalie Grace Yandell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Yerger Clifton Yandell of Chicago and originally of Vance. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Joseph Nelson Thomas and Mrs. Trapp Thomas, both of Chesterton, Ind., and the late Mr. and Mrs. William McBride Yandell Jr. of Memphis. Since graduating from the Latin School of Chicago, Miss Yandell is attending Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C., where she is a member of Kappa Beta Gamma sorority. She will be presented by her father.
Sarah Clifton Yandell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William McBride Yandell III of Memphis and originally of Vance. Her grandparents are Mr. Phillip H. McCaull and Mrs. Hoover McCaull, both of Memphis, and the late Mr. and Mrs. William McBride Yandell Jr., also of Memphis. A graduate of the University of Indiana High School in Bloomington, Ind., she is attending the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Ga. Miss Yandell will be presented by her father.
