The members of local chapter Zeta Psi Zeta of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. recently celebrated 50 years of service in Clarksdale and surrounding areas.
The charter members were Glorist Jackson, Delores Nolan, Lois Edwards, Anna Hicks and Clotiel Fluker.
The members present at the recent celebration were presented special gifts from the sorority by the president, Violet Furdge, and chairperson of the Charter Day committee, Levon King.
The charter members present were Willie B. Martin and Myrtis Harris. Bertha Blackburn was unable to attend due to illness. Accepting for Mrs. Blackburn was her granddaughter, Docia Walker.
