Police respond to shots fired

The Clarksdale Police Department responded to three incidents of gun fire Monday night with the final call finding two people shot.

The first call came in at 7:57 p.m. Monday from the 400 block of Catalpa Street with a woman telling police she was sitting in her home when she heard gunshots outside.

MDOC requires telephone reporting for parolees

Individuals on probation, parole, house arrest or any other form of community supervision are to report by telephone starting Wednesday, April 1, through Tuesday, April 17.

The phone call will serve as their report. Therefore, their normal report day can be disregarded for April.
