The Coahoma Early College High School boys and girls basketball teams both finished their district in second place and begin the district tournament at Water Valley on Thursday night.
The Tigers, 22-5 on the season, open against North Panola at 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
The Tigers closed their regular season with a 50-48 win against Northside on Friday night.
Willie Eagins led the way with 18 points followed by Trey Payno.
That followed a Tigers’ 65-48 win at Clarksdale on Thursday night. Thomas Williams Jr. had a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds.
The Lady Tigers are also playing Thursday night and both teams are guaranteed a playoff spot.
