Valeria Scott Owen, 95, of Germantown, Tenn., passed away on Thursday, August 25 at Reston Hospital Center in Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Biffle Owen, and her three sisters Cloyce Rousseau, Violet Butler and Pauline Smith.
She is survived by her son Michael and daughter-in-law Annerieke of Reston, Va.; grandson Brendan; and granddaughter Sigrid.
She was a member of Lyon United Methodist Church, in Coahoma County.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 17 at 10 a.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN.
The family requests that any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.
