Finnis 'Sonny' Melvin Catledge Jr.

Finnis “Sonny” Melvin Catledge, Jr., 90, a retired tool and dye maker, died Wednesday, April 10, 2019.

Mr. Catledge  was a United States Air Force veteran, Mason, Shriner, avid hunter ,master craftsman and very artistic.

He was a member of Clarksdale Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Harvey Catledge of Clarksdale and Stephen Catledge of Southaven; two daughters, Linda (James) Catledge Martin of Columbus and Stephanie Catledge Bennett of Greenville; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Sally Powell.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Jackson Catledge; parents, Finnis Melvin and Cora Jackson Catledge; a son, Butch Catledge; and a brother, Glynn Catledge.

Visitation and a funeral service was held Saturday, April 13, 2019, at the Clarksdale Baptist Church. Burial was in the Oakridge Cemetery.

Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale handled the arrangements.
