H.D. King, Jr.

H.D. King, Jr., 92, who was retired from Wonder Bread, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at his home in Clarksdale.

Mr. King was a Mason and an avid gardener.

Survivors include two daughters, Pam (Jimmy) Wilson of Clarksdale, and Ann Eason of Clarksdale; a sister, Tilda Bea Worrell of Ackerman; two grandchildren, Kristen McCaslin and Megan (Chuck) Denton; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, H.D. and Birtie King; and his wife, Louise Harper Kimbrough King.

Visitation will be held this Friday, March 22, 2019, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Oakhurst Baptist Church in Clarksdale with a funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. in the church.

Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Highway 6 near Lyon.

Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale is handling the arrangements.
