John Herbert Dickinson

John Herbert Dickinson, 79, owner and operator of Powers & Co., passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019, at his home in Clarksdale.

John was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Rotary Club. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include two sons, David (Karen) Dickinson of Germantown, Tenn., and Doug (Michelle) Dickinson of Batesville; and four grandchildren, John Michael Dickinson, Daniel Dickinson, Alexis Dickinson and Landon Dickinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ann Hutchins Dickinson; his wife, Nancy Hart Dickinson; and a brother, Robert Dickinson III.

Visitation is Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Clarksdale. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019, at the church with burial in the Oakridge Cemetery.

Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale is handling the arrangements.
