Mary Alice Massey Greene was born Aug. 8, 1939. She graduated from Clarksdale High School, where she was elected wittiest. She matriculated at Mississippi State University for Women. In her youth, she enjoyed participating in horse shows with "Big Red". Later in life, she pursued her love of Interior Design at Delta State University. An accomplished seamstress by hobby, she won first place at the Mississippi State Fair for her French Hand Sewing techniques. She taught art at St. George's Episcopal Day School. She was a proud member and double legacy of both Colonial Dames and the Rosanna Waters Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution. Her love of home and family were evident. She was a loving friend to many, a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. The thing she was most proud of other than family was her love of Jesus, and said often that the most important thing that ever happened to her was getting saved and she looked forward to meeting her loved ones in Heaven one day.
