William Ellis Sneed

William Ellis Sneed, 79, passed away Saturday morning, March 23, 2019, at the Northwest Mississippi Medical Center in Clarksdale.

Mr. Sneed was a retired bank teller, retired mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, a member of West Marks Baptist Church, as well as the Civitan, Lions and Dixieland Campers clubs. He was also an avid gardener.

Those whom he leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Jimmie Faye Sneed of Darling; two daughters, Rhonda Dancy (Jonathan) of Marks and Tanya Dover (Wesley) of Sardis; one son, Bill Sneed (Cathy) of Perry, Ark.; two stepsons, Scotty Bulliner (Stacy) of Senatobia and Guy “Bubba” Bulliner (Brenna) of Senatobia; two brothers, Jimmy Sneed (Corine) of Independence and Tom Sneed of Tocowa; 12 grandchildren, Jennifer Tharp (Bradley) of Freeport, Fla., Nathan Dancy (Lindsey) of Brandon, Michael McElroy of Senatobia, Alison Jones (Heath) of Perry, Ark., Kayela Allen (Chase) of Huntsville, Ala., Nikki Vancel (Hewston) of Senatobia, Kristen Wilson (Matt) of Batesville, Hannah Austin of Hernando, Chase Bulliner of Senatobia, Summer Sullivan of Destin, Fla., Asa Bulliner of Senatobia, and Eli Bulliner of Senatobia; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Brian Ellis Sneed; his parents, Winford and Colevia Madge Sneed; one sister, Betty Cordel; and one brother, Robert Sneed.

The family received friends on Sunday, March 24, 2019 in the chapel of Kimbro Funeral Home in Marks and a second visitation on will be held Monday, March 25, 2019, from 1 until 2 p.m. at the West Marks Baptist Church in Marks. A funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at the church. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Clarksdale.
