A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Delta Burial Funeral Home in Clarksdale.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2020 at McLaurin Memorial Garden in Clarksdale.

Josephine Magsby, 67, of Friars Point, died Thursday, March 7, 2019, at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven.

A public viewing was held Friday, March 15, 2019, at Delta Burial Funeral Home and a funeral service was held Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Thompson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Lula with pastor Earl Myles presiding.


St. Elizabeth School's backpack project helps feed area school children

Students from St. Elizabeth Catholic School are participating in a “backpack project” to help feed needy children who would otherwise have to go hungry all weekend.

This is the third year of the project and Immaculate Conception and St. Elizabeth Catholic churches partnered to make it happen.

Leon Thomas Corso

Leon Thomas Corso, 96, of Clarksdale and a retired owner/operator of Corso Liquor Store and worked with his father at Corso Distributing, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019 at home. Visitation is 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2019 at Riverside Baptist Church in Clarksdale. Funeral services are 2 p.m.
