Funeral services are 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Lyon. The family is officiating the ceremony. Burial is at Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Lyon. Visitation is at graveside.

Ruby Kemp, 84, of Clarksdale died Friday, March 6, 2020 at Cleveland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cleveland.

A viewing will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2020 at Delta Burial Funeral Home in Clarksdale.


County boys set to take on Potts Camp at 3 p.m. Friday

The Coahoma County High School boys are one game away from winning their third Class 2A state championship in four years.

Potts Camp, a former division opponent, is the one team standing in the way of the Red Panthers (23-10, 9-1). The Cardinals and Red Panthers will face off in the state championship at 3 p.m. Friday at Ole Miss.

Paul Eugene Upton, 89, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, Feb. 17, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Robbie Jean Upton, his son, Mark Alan Upton, his daughter, Sandra Carol Brooks, and his parents, Bessie Jane and Relder Dewitt Upton.
