Funeral mass is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Cleveland with burial in the Shelby Cemetery in Shelby.

Pamela Bolen Ledbetter, 71, a homemaker from Clarksdale, died Dec. 20, 2019 at Clarksdale Nursing Center. Visitation is Sunday, Dec. 22, 2019, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale. Funeral services are 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale.


Betty Jean Dotson

Betty Jean Dotson, 66, of Clarksdale died at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis Jan. 1, 2020.

Funeral service is at noon Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020 at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Lacy Harrell will officiate. Burial is at Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Lyon. Visitation is 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, 2020.

No city, county funds will be used on airport board's private plane, says chairman

To avoid any misunderstanding, Clarksdale-Coahoma Airport Board chairman David Huggins explained to the members of the board that the anti-collision system for its private plane will be paid through the private plane account and will not involve any government (city or county) funds.
