Albert Holman Williams, 76, born in Davenport on April 20, 1944, died Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was a Clarksdale resident and graduated from Coahoma Agricultural High School (“Aggie”). He received a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Tugaloo College.



Auditor collects $1.3 million in stolen funds

State Auditor Shad White’s office returned over $1.3 million back to Mississippi taxpayers last month in stolen or misused funds.

Auditors from the state routinely check and double check the files and funds of both city and county government and are often tipped off by employees of government about abuses and possible theft and fraud.

Walter Burton "Kinnie" Hardy, 93, retired from Emhart, passed away peacefully May 26, 2019 at his home in Rena Lara. Visitation is 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday May 29, 2019 at Riverside Baptist Church in Clarksdale, MS. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Riverside Baptist Church in Clarksdale with burial in the Memorial Gardens.
