As of last week, I am part of an estimated 10 percent of the population that has taken the test for the coronavirus.
Fortunately, the test results were negative and I do not have the coronavirus, but I still came out of the experience with some observations about the pandemic.

The Clarksdale Police Department responded to three incidents of gun fire Monday night with the final call finding two people shot.
The first call came in at 7:57 p.m. Monday from the 400 block of Catalpa Street with a woman telling police she was sitting in her home when she heard gunshots outside.

The Mississippi Department of Corrections issued an arrest warrant for a 25-year-old man after a traffic stop in Clarksdale on Thursday afternoon, March 7.
The DOC issued a warrant for the arrest of Demarco Brown for a probation violation on Thursday.
A 27-year-old Clarksdale man was killed and three others injured after an eruption of gunfire early Saturday morning in the parking lot of a Clarksdale business.
The murder was the city’s 12th homicide of 2018.
After reporting no new cases Thursday, Coahoma County saw three new cases of COVID-19 reported Friday. There have been 10 new local cases over the past seven days and the county’s third death was reported Tuesday.
The county now has 64 people who have had or who are currently infected with the disease
