Daisy Ethel Virginia Smith Boehm, 79, passed away June 16, 2020, at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven. Visitation was 1 to 2 p.m. Monday June 22, 2020 at Clarksdale Baptist Church in Clarksdale. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday at Clarksdale Baptist Church in Clarksdale with burial in the Memorial Gardens.

An accident occurred in downtown Clarksdale on the corner of East Second Street and Delta Avenue at around 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Members of the Clarksdale Police Department and Pafford Emergency Medical Services were at the scene.
It was a busy weekend for the Clarksdale Police Department with a man shot in the chest another hit in the leg, a car stolen and five reports of shots fired.
All are currently under investigation and the community is being asked to help solve these crimes, help police make an arrest and stop the violence.

Molly Jane Tolar Franks, 67, passed away Monday, Nov. 4, 2019 in Clarksdale. Born on Aug. 3, 1952 in Clarksdale, she was the daughter of the late Sam V. Tolar, Sr. and Bernice Rowland Tolar.
Mrs. Franks graduated from Clarksdale High School and Delta State College. She served in the Army for six years, achieving the rank of Captain.
