Dorothy L. Troy nee Lasine, born May 14, 1949, died May 11, 2020. She was the beloved wife of Terry Troy; loving mother of Josh Troy and Scott Troy; dear sister of Stuart (Rann) Lasine and Arlene (Neil) Kaplan; cherished daughter of the late Jack and Fay Lasine; and fond aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Nancy Ann Kincade Williams

Nancy Ann Kincade Williams, age 78, passed away at her home in Corinth on April 26, 2020 after an 11 year battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Born Aug. 16, 1941, Nancy Ann was the only daughter of Sally and Robert Kincade and grew up in the Mississippi Delta with her brother, Pat Kincade.

Patricia Boyd Giles, 79, died Jan. 17, 2020, at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville, Tenn. Visitation is 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020 at First Presbyterian Church in Clarksdale. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church in Clarksdale with burial in the Oakridge Cemetery.

Over 850 Coahoma County residents give thanks for Community Thanksgiving Meal

Some 850 people in Coahoma County received a Thanksgiving meal this year through the efforts of a mixture of volunteers and businesses as part of an outpouring of support that dates back nearly 40 years.

The Community Thanksgiving Meal was served up Thursday morning at The Care Station at 318 Delta Ave. in Clarksdale.
