THE BLOOM!

By FLOYD INGRAM / THE PRESS REGISTER,

Tens of thousands of yellow and orange cosmos, bask in the Mississippi Delta sunshine on the banks of the Sunflower River in Martin Luther King Park this week. The flowers were planted this spring and have provided the perfect place for senior pictures, family picnics and for couples just looking for a pretty vista and a quiet moment. Contractor Tommy Walton said his crew was busy Tuesday building a walking trail in the park and added the flowers should be in full bloom over the next two weeks.
