Robert Fava, Jr., 82, was born on April 14, 1938 and went to be with his Lord on Friday, May 18, 2020 at his home in Alligator. He was the Owner and Operator of Mary Ann’s Variety Store and Fava Brothers Grocery in Alligator for over 50 years. Graveside services are 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Marjorie Ann Weller Arnett, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020 in Tallulah, La., at the age of 86.

Funeral service is 11 a.m. Feb. 1, 2020 at New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church with Elder Leslie B. Howard Sr. presiding. Burial follows at Oakridge Cemetery.
Quitman County Community Work Center escapee Walter Lee Lewis is now in custody.
Lewis, 31, was arrested around 2 p.m. Friday without incident in Fulton and will be returned to prison.
It is not known how Lewis made it to Fulton or if he had help making his escape Thursday.
Clarksdale Police are seeking information on a shooting early Thursday morning that sent a man to a Memphis hospital. Police are also seeking information on three burglaries reported Wednesday.

Judy M. Agostinelli, 75, died on June 26, 2019 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson. She was born September 6, 1943, the daughter of the late Alesio (Latchie) Marcellini and the late Lavonia Marcellini. Judy had two sisters the late Nancy Marcellini and the late Johnnie Marcellini Rushing.
Jimmy Lee Davis, 51, died Dec. 6, 2019 on Highway 49. He was born Oct. 19, 1968.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019 at Clarksdale Civic Auditorium. Burial is at McLaurin Cemetery. Visitation is 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2019 at Century Funeral Home.

Senior guard Patrice Broomfield was the leading scorer in both games as the Clarksdale High School girls won the district tournament championship in Greenwood last week.
Winning the tournament put the Lady Wildcats (20-8, 7-1) in the Class 4A playoffs and they opened with a 59-24 win at home against North Pontotoc Monday night.
