The crush started at Walmart Thursday night as the community geared up for Gov. Tate Reeves' order to shelter in place until April 20.
The store was filled with people and sheriff’s deputies were called to enforce a one-person, one-buggy rule.

Quitman County Community Work Center escapee Walter Lee Lewis is now in custody.
Lewis, 31, was arrested around 2 p.m. Friday without incident in Fulton and will be returned to prison.
It is not known how Lewis made it to Fulton or if he had help making his escape Thursday.
Clarksdale Police are seeking information on a shooting early Thursday morning that sent a man to a Memphis hospital. Police are also seeking information on three burglaries reported Wednesday.

Martha Mae Wilder Jenkins, 78, of Clarksdale died Oct. 25, 2019 at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 at Union Grove Baptist Church. Lindall Gay Willard, 82, a retired salesman from General Pipe and Supply, passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, at his home in Clarksdale.
Mr. Willard was a member of Riverside Baptist Church.
