The Clarksdale Police Department is investigating two burglaries that occurred last night.
Officers were called to 1029 Ritchie Street and spoke with C.W. Moore who said he left his home to carry a friend home and when he returned his door was kicked in and his wallet was missing.
Willie "Bernice" Gavin, 60, of Clarksdale, died June 11, 2020 at Merit Health of Clarksdale.
Graveside service is 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Heavenly Rest Cemetery with the Rev. Willie Dawson officiating. Burial is at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Visitation is 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2020 at Woolf Funeral Home.
Curtis Lamar Burnside, 73, of Ripley, died June 7, 2020 at his home.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Sumner with the Rev. Donnie Roebuck presiding. Burial is at Oaklawn Cemtery in Sumner. Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2020.

Pearlie Mae Fair, 79, born Aug. 16, 1940, died at Desoto Nursing Home in Southaven Jan. 16, 2020.

Coahoma County saw no new cases of COVID-19 reported Monday and it was the first time the local number has not increased since the first case was reported March 18.
The county currently has 38 confirmed cases of the disease and one fatality attributed to the disease on April 4.
