Some things you only get one chance to do and walking across a stage or football field to be handed your high school diploma after 12-years of hard work is one of them.

Lee Academy’s Class of 2020 graduation will be in one of two places – in the school’s gymnasium or on the football field.

Robert J. Johnson, 25, of Clarksdale died April 24, 2020 at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale.

Graveside service is on May 9, 2020 at Johnson Family Cemetery in Lambert.

Linda Covington Edgerley

Linda Covington Edgerley, 79, a homemaker of Southaven and formerly of Clarksdale, passed away Friday, May 1, 2020 at Hermitage Gardens in Southaven. Graveside services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Oakridge Cemetery in Clarksdale. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale is handling the arrangements.

Coahoma County High opens state playoffs with road trip to Eupora

Coahoma County is in the state Class 2A playoffs for the first time in two seasons with a 20-14 victory against West Tallahatchie on Thursday night, Oct. 25

The Red Panthers (3-8, 3-3) are currently riding a two-game winning streak with victories against West Bolivar and West Tallahatchie.
