A call came into the Clarksdale Police Department about 10 a.m. Sunday that a 2-year-old boy had been shot in the torso at 520 McKinley Street.
Coahoma County saw no new cases of COVID-19 reported Monday and it was the first time the local number has not increased since the first case was reported March 18.
The county currently has 38 confirmed cases of the disease and one fatality attributed to the disease on April 4.
Lindall Gay Willard, 82, a retired salesman from General Pipe and Supply, passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, at his home in Clarksdale.
Mr. Willard was a member of Riverside Baptist Church.
Martha Mae Wilder Jenkins, 78, of Clarksdale died Oct. 25, 2019 at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 at Union Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Sammie Collins will officiate. Burial is at Carr’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is 1 to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2 at Century Funeral Home.
Carolyn Alford Salmon, 89, of Clarksdale, died Monday, May 18, 2020 at Clarksdale Nursing Center.
