Blues highlight film fest

Clarksdale blues music and musicians was the team of two evening features at the 10th annual Clarksdale Film Festival Friday and Saturday nights.

“Walk with Me: Lucious Spiller, Called to Sing the Blues” played Friday at Grandma’s Sports Bar and “The Blues Trail Revisited: A Documentary Memoir” played Saturday.

George Henderson, 74, of Detroit, Mich. died Jan. 15, 2020 at Harper Hospital in Detroit, Mich.  At 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020 public viewing was at Mt. Ary Missionary Baptist Church followed by funeral service at noon with Pastor Michael Moore presiding. Burial followed at Church Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to
