The Coahoma County School District board voted to name Scott the Coahoma County Red Panthers’ high school football coach during the May board meeting. Scott succeeds Mario Lane, who was the coach for two seasons.
William R. "Buddy" Jackson, 95, of Marks, Francis Landing Hunting Club, and Senatobia, passed away May 1, 2020 at Oxford Baptist Hospital. He was born in Sledge and was a long-time resident and businessman in Marks.

Nancy Ann Kincade Williams, age 78, passed away at her home in Corinth on April 26, 2020 after an 11 year battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Born Aug. 16, 1941, Nancy Ann was the only daughter of Sally and Robert Kincade and grew up in the Mississippi Delta with her brother, Pat Kincade.
The Tunica County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the last of three suspects allegedly involved in a shooting incident at a Valero store near Tunica, Sunday morning where an officer returned fire and wounded a suspect.
Employees at Fred’s in Clarksdale learned Friday their store is scheduled to close, but have not been given a date on when the downtown business will shut its doors.
