Mamie Nell Williams, 74, of Marks, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven.

A public viewing will be held Friday, March 1, 2019, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the New Paradise Baptist Church in Marks.


Hazel L. Cotton

Hazel L. Cotton, 82, of Friars Point, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, at her home in Clarksdale.

A public viewing will be held Friday, March 1, 2019, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Delta Burial Funeral Home on 615 S. State St. in Clarksdale.



Freddie Williams

Freddie Williams, 48, of Tunica, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019, in Tunica County.

A public viewing was held Friday, Feb., 22, 2019, at Delta Burial Funeral Home on 615 S. State St. in Clarksdale.


John Gilbert

On Tuesday, Feb.  19, 2019, God called home John Gilbert, 78. A longtime resident of Tupelo, he passed away at home.

John was born July 21, 1940, to John Amos Gilbert and Dorotha Brewer Stewart in Clarksdale.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and “Pops.”



Florence Dotson

Florence Dotson, 63, of Clarksdale, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2019, at her home.

Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 22, 2019, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Woolf Funeral Home at 761 McKinley St. in Clarksdale.


Johnette Bolm

Johnette Bolm, 73, a retired assistant auditor at First National Bank and Rena Lara resident, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019, at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date. 

Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale is handling the arrangements.



Eugenia Ann 'Susie' Bailey

Eugenia Ann “Susie” Bailey, 78, a Clarksdale resident who was a retired bookkeeper at John Montgomery CPA in Tunica, as well as with Holmes and Howell CPA in Clarksdale and the Walter Thompson Law Office, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019, at the Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale. 


John Herbert Dickinson

John Herbert Dickinson, 79, owner and operator of Powers & Co., passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019, at his home in Clarksdale.

John was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Rotary Club. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.




James E. Price

James E. Price, 56, of Clarksdale, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019, at the Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale.

A public viewing will be held Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Delta Burial Funeral Home at 615 S. State St. in Clarksdale.
