The Clarksdale Police Department is investigating an alleged home invasion and armed robbery where shots were fired and one man was sent to the hospital.
Details are sketchy and no names have been released about the incident that police are calling an armed robbery and home invasion.
Police reports said officers responded to the 300 block of Lynn Street after being told a black male, 32, had been shot inside a home. Reports said officers found the man had been shot at least twice and believe he was shot once inside the home and once outside.
The ambulance was called, the injured man was taken to a local hospitals and later to a Memphis hospital.
Police reports did not list any charges. Police reports also did not say if the person shot was the resident or the alleged robber.
The scene was turned over to investigators with the Clarksdale Police Department.
Police have not said if they have a description of a suspect or if an arrest has been made in this incident.
