Three-inches of snow blankets Clarksdale, Mississippi Delta

Three inches of snow crept into Clarksdale early Monday morning, slowing things down around town, but causing no major problems.
No local schools held in-person learning Monday and there were no major accidents or power outages reported as a result of the snow.

A group of Coahoma County High School freshmen had the opportunity to tour the new sheriff’s office administrative building on Desoto Avenue scheduled to open in the coming months.
The new jail will be next to the administration building. The current jail is located on Sunflower Avenue in downtown Clarksdale.
