Jean Gong Ong, 92, of Cordova, Tenn. died on Dec. 9, 2019 at Ave Maria Home in Bartlett, Tenn. Jean was the daughter of the late Sing and Moy (Shee) Gong of Duncan. On Jan. 29, 1953 she married Thomas Ong of San Francisco, Calif. The couple owned T & J Grocery in Clarksdale, Mississippi for 29 years together until their retirement in 1993.
Marsha B. Lentz, 66, of Navarre Beach, Fla. died on Tuesday, Dece. 10, 2019. Marsha was born July 29, 1953 in Clarksdale, Mississippi.
After retiring in 2013 she moved from Arkabutla to Navarre in 2014. She was living her dream at the beach.
Tommy Garmon, 84, and a Clarksdale native, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2019. He was born Jan. 29, 1935. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Oakridge Cemetery.
Elizabeth Ann Bramlett Luster, 91, surrounded by family at home in Clarksdale, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 10.
Robert (Bob) H. Waller, Jr., 77, of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019 at Bolivar Medical Center. A visitation and funeral service was held on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019, at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland with Rev. James Lewis Kellum Jr. and Father Kent Bowlds officiating.
Virginia “Ginger” Josey Bush, 78, passed away Saturday, Dec.7, 2019 at Regional One Medical Center in Memphis, TN. After a short, hard-fought battle with cancer, she was called to her heavenly home.
Jimmy Lee Davis, 51, died Dec. 6, 2019 on Highway 49. He was born Oct. 19, 1968.
