Don't fall for the 'party girls' in your garden

There are some interesting experiences worth having, but not often. Eating hot peppers and poking myself in the eye come to mind.

Not that I don’t enjoy the gustatory volcano and its subsequent endorphin bliss, or seeing shooting stars in a temporarily-blinded eye, but I appreciate both being temporary.


Edna Nowell

Edna Nowell, 90, passed away peacefully at her home, Wednesday March 27, 2019, in Ooltewah, Tenn., and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.







Anita Antone

Anita Antone, 79, a Clarksdale resident who was retired from FedEx, died Monday, March 25, 2019, at the Clarksdale Nursing Home.

Ms. Antone loved her pets. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church

She was preceded in death by her parents, Steaner Augustine Antone and Ida Marie Sbravati Antone.




Lucille Lenard McCoy

Lucille Lenard McCoy, 51, of Memphis, Tenn., died Sunday, March 17, 2019, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.

A visitation will be held this Friday, March 29, 2019, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Woolf Funeral Home at 761 McKinley St. in Clarksdale.



Courtney Blair Collums

Courtney Blair Collums, 32, a retail sales person and former Clarksdale resident, died Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.

Courtney, who lived in Millington, Tenn., loved her family and animals. She loved music and coloring. She was a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church.
