Patrick Campbell, 48, of Jonestown, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2019, at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven.

A public viewing will be held Friday, March 8, 2019, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Delta Burial Funeral Home at 615 S. State St. in Clarksdale and from 5 to 7pm at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Jonestown.


Marie Jordan Pepper

Marie Jordan Pepper, 66, of Clarksdale, died Sunday, March 3, 2019, at Martha Coker Green Houses in Yazoo City after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Marie was born Nov. 9, 1952, in Yazoo City to Charles A. Jordan Sr. and Mabel Norman Jordan.



Billy Joe Haley

Billy Joe Haley, 53, a retired captain with the Clarksdale Police Department and Coahoma County Sheriff’s Office, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019, at Methodist Central in Memphis, Tenn.

Billy Joe was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.


Noel Monaghan Russell

Noel Monaghan Russell, 63, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019, in Stuart, Fla., from complications from a heart attack he suffered several days earlier.

Noel was born in Clarksdale on June 24, 1955, to Mr. and Mrs.  James A. Russell, Jr. and raised on his family’s farm near Jonestown.  



Shirley Gee Busby

Shirley Gee Busby, 88, passed away Monday, Feb. 25, 2019, at Providence Assisted Living in Batesville.

Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019, at Shiloh United Methodist Church with interment to follow in the Shiloh Cemetery in Batesville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.


Mamie Nell Williams

Mamie Nell Williams, 74, of Marks, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven.

A public viewing will be held Friday, March 1, 2019, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the New Paradise Baptist Church in Marks.



Hazel L. Cotton

Hazel L. Cotton, 82, of Friars Point, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, at her home in Clarksdale.

A public viewing will be held Friday, March 1, 2019, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Delta Burial Funeral Home on 615 S. State St. in Clarksdale.





New arrival: Amos Luker Fuqua

Amy and Chip Fuqua, of Birmingham, Ala., announce the birth of their son, Amos Luker Fuqua. 

Amos was born at 9:01 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018, at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham. He weighed 9 pounds and 10 ounces and was 22 ½ inches long.  

Amos is proudly welcomed by his brother, Edgar Fuqua.
