The Coahoma County Emergency Management Agency is conducting an active shooter drill at the Northwest Mississippi Regional Hospital in Clarksdale, at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19.
The event is expected to last a couple of hours, and there is no danger to the community.
“This drill will help us train for a possible shooter at any major building in Clarksdale and I want to thank the hospital and its staff for taking part in this drill,” said Charles Hale, director of the Coahoma County Emergency Management Agency. “One of the key to an emergency is training and this event will help all the agencies involved keep Clarksdale and Coahoma County safe.”
The Clarksdale Boy Scout Troop will act as victims in this incident.
