34th Annual Delta Rice is Thursday in Merigold

The 34th installment of the Delta Rice Festival, hosted by Delta Rice Promotions is set for Thursday in Merigold.

The annual celebration, which also observes National Rice Month, will feature rice tastings provided by Crawdad’s restaurant, exhibitions and games for all ages.

Mississippi’s November General Election ballot is set

Nine presidential tickets are listed on the Magnolia State’s ballot along with races for U.S. Senate, U.S. House, state Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.

The Mississippi Secretary of State’s office released the November General Election sample ballot on Friday with the U.S. presidential race topping the ticket.

MSU garners $9.9 million grant to advance workforce reintegration for Mississippians with disabilities
